Pierre is a senior trade-compliance consultant with over 22 years of experience in export control. He began his career as an Export Control Officer and later served as Director of Export Control for Europe at Thales Alenia Space until 2024. In 2018 he founded Borie Consulting as an independent trade-compliance consultant.
He has designed and implemented robust, audit-ready trade-compliance processes for both large corporations and smaller organisations, including Thales, Constellium, Telespazio, PMOD and Swissto12.
In France he has built trusted relationships with key governmental bodies including the DGA, SBDU and SGDSN. He works fluently across the US regimes that decide most cross-border cases (BIS, DDTC, OFAC), and follows the EU, UK, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Chinese and Middle Eastern control frameworks that increasingly shape the transactions our clients sign.
