Defense
Military and dual-use defence products, the authorisations that come with them, and the US parts inside.
Defence products are military goods under French rules and the EU Common Military List, and many contain US parts that bring ITAR or EAR into the picture. The first question is always the same: is it military, dual-use, or neither?
We work with defence suppliers and defence-technology companies on classification, authorisations and the conditions attached to them.
When we are called
- You need to know whether a product is military or dual-use
- An authorisation comes with conditions and you need to know how each one is lifted
- US content puts an ITAR or EAR question on a European system
- A customer abroad asks for your export classification before ordering
Work we have done
- Reading the conditions attached to a defence-technology company's DGA commitment letters, and how each one is lifted.
- Ongoing classification and export-control support for a munitions manufacturer.
