Our clients build technology that is controlled and that travels: a satellite part sent to the US for testing, a component bought from a supplier outside the EU, a customer who needs your classification before paying. Export control says whether a shipment may leave and under which authorisation. Customs says under which code, which regime and at what cost.
We take both in one engagement, so the classification, the licence and the customs paperwork line up and a shipment does not get stuck between two advisers. We would rather set this up before the first shipment, and we also step in when one is already stuck.
